Freeman Lost - a poem by Nicholas Odorizzi

And now I know
I'm just a shadow
of who I was in the past
or was it the other way 'round
with no sun a blinded sound
I don't know which way the shadows cast

The response is pending
and it's not ending
was the question even asked?
with solitude reached
then to whom do I speak?
I can't recall anyone taking on that task

A connection's missing
if no one is listening
now all anticipations passed
truly my soul's lying
with pure fiction trying
the cloud tear has dropped it's last

Nick is another transplant to Greensboro from 1991.
He also draws, which we might see here someday, and is really much happier now than this poem would lead you to believe.
