A nice review of NC favorites the Emma Gibbs Band at the Wetlands in New York City has been posted at the Jambase site.<http://www.jambase.com>. While you are there, be sure to check out Dennis' posting for this week. It's one of the best reads around.

Merlefest activity is picking up as the new year approaches. They have posted the stage schedules at http://www.merlefest.org. You can also get discounted tickets at that site until March 19, 2001.

Lonely Goat's Space Oddity 2001 - Thanks to Folkswaggin' and the Blind Tiger, we now have a place to break out the lights and reflective devices for another kind elevation. We'll be supporting the funkysmoothheadjams and psychefolkadelicgrooves of Greensboro's own Folkswaggin' <http://www.folkswaggin.com> on Sunday December 31st at The Blind Tiger <http://www.theblindtiger.com> in Greensboro. More details to come soon!

Jambase.com<http://www.jambase.com> has a great rundown on New Year's happenings in the southeast. This week I'm also sending out the New Year's shows I know of in NC...and just because I spent some time scouring the net for upcoming events...I'm sending out the full NC calendar to all points known in the future.

Greensboro folks should check out the Greensboro Music Collective <http://www.musiccollective.net>. It's a great resource for local music of all sorts in the Triad. They also sponsor two radio shows on the Guilford College station WQFS 90.9. Wednesdays from 11AM-2PM is the NC show which usually features music for any of the bands playing in the area the upcoming weekend. The Greensboro Music Collective Show is on Tuesdays from 6-8PM. the leela fiasco's song "Millipede" was #1 on the top ten countdown recently.<http://www.theleelafiasco.com>

Many thanks to everyone who ventured out last Friday for our first show at the Klick in Greensboro. The Larry Keel Experience put on the another stellar performance as we've all come to expect. Stay tuned for more possible Lonely Goat happenings at the Klick and elsewhere in the Triad area.

I have a website this week for another new venue in Greensboro. Check out Artistika Cafe Concert at http://www.artistika.org.

I'm keeping it brief this week due to holiday time constraints and I want to apologize for the delay sending out the email last week and this week. I'll try to get back on the Tuesday schedule next week. Thanks to everyone for your patience.
