This is a city festival held in Durham's City Park and is now in it's 22nd year! They have some great musicians and it's a charity event to preserve the Eno River.<http://www.enoriver.org> If you are headed towards Myrtle Beach for the Fourth of July, be sure to check out what's going on at The Pad in North Myrtle Beach. July 4th they have indoor and outdoor shows with Ancient Harmony, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, T.h.h.e. Mood Cultivation Project, and Sons of Steel. Dawg's 4th Annual Harvestfest is scheduled for September 28-30 at Atlanta's Back Porch in Fairburn, GA.<http://www.tdawgsproductions.com>. Magnolia Music & Events' MagnoliaFest is scheduled for October19-21 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.<http://www.magmusic.com>. Both of these festivals are featuring performers from our neck of the woods which is as good an excuse as any for a little Fall vacation to support the home folks don't you think? Wireless Amphitheater - Charlotte, NC 06.15.01 Speaking of Smilefest, what a time! Congratulations to NFA Entertainment/ Smilefest Productions on a tremendous effort. The festival tripled in size this year, yet none of the good vibes were sacrificed wtih the growth. I think everyone who attended agrees that this is how a festival should be presented and we'll all be back in August for the Brushy Mountain Jamboree. Two weeks ago I mentioned a FREE festival that Ancient Harmony was publicizing and I'm sad to report that the Mountain Jam scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled. Apparently, there was some conflict between the event promoter and the land owner. Ancient Harmony will, however, be at Camp Buzz on Sunday in Oxford, Ohio.
