North Carolina local and independent live music resourcesWhile the LONELY GOAT website is published to promote
'jam' music in North Carolina, the focus of LONELY GOAT CENTRAL is to serve as a links
resource for all styles of live and independent music in the state.
I started Lonely Goat in 1998 because there was
not an independent 'jam' publication in NC. I appreciate other styles of music too, but I
think they are being covered and promoted nicely by other publications and organizations
throughout the state.
The purpose of LONELY GOAT CENTRAL is to link
fans of live music with the folks who are making it happen in their particular scene,
whatever style of music that may be. In the end, it's the live music experience that I'm
